Mockupduck is a browser-based social media mockup generator and client approval tool. You can create realistic mockups for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and more, then send them to clients for review via a single magic link - no account or password required on the reviewer's end.
No design skills, no software to install. Mockupduck runs entirely in your browser. Pick a template, type in your content, upload your images, and your mockup updates in real time. No Photoshop, Figma or Canva knowledge needed.
Yes. Both the mockup builder and the client review page are fully optimized for mobile and tablet. You can create and edit mockups on any device without needing a desktop computer, and your clients can review them on any device too.
No. Sign in and use Mockupduck directly in your browser on any device. Your reviewers don't need to download anything either - they get a link, they click it, they're in.
Canva and Photoshop are general design tools. They don't replicate the actual UI of social media platforms, and they have no built-in client approval workflow. Mockupduck is purpose-built: every template mirrors the real platform layout, and the review system (workspaces, magic sign-in links, inline comments) is built in from day one - no stitching together separate tools.
Yes. Only you can access your mockups and workspaces. Reviewers can only see the specific mockups you explicitly mark as "ready for review" and share with them via a review link. Work-in-progress drafts are never visible to anyone but you.
A workspace is a container for a set of mockups - typically one per client, brand or campaign. You add mockups to it, mark them as "ready for review", then share the workspace with a reviewer via a single email. All your mockups for that client live in one organised place, and you control exactly what reviewers see.
No. Reviewers receive a magic sign-in link by email. One click and they're taken directly to the review page - no account to create, no password to set, no app to download. It works on any device including mobile.
Yes. All mockups you've marked "ready for review" in a workspace appear together on a single review page. Your client can scroll through and comment on each one without leaving that page - no downloading files, no separate emails per mockup.
Yes. Reviewers can leave a comment on any individual mockup directly from the review page. You see all feedback in one place inside the workspace - no inbox hunting, no PDF annotations, no trying to match email replies to the right file.
Yes. Only mockups you explicitly mark as "ready for review" are shown during a review session. Your work-in-progress drafts remain private until you choose to share them. You can add or remove mockups from a review at any time.
Yes. The entire review experience - viewing mockups, reading comments and leaving feedback - is fully optimized for phones and tablets. Most clients will open the link on their phone, and it works great.
Yes. After making revisions, update the mockups in the workspace, mark them as ready for review again and send a new link. The workspace stays in place - you don't need to create a new one for each revision round.
You can invite multiple reviewers to the same workspace. Each reviewer receives their own magic sign-in link and can leave comments independently. There's no limit on the number of reviewers.
We currently have templates for Instagram (Profile, Post, Story, Grid), Facebook (Post), and TikTok (Profile, Video, Grid) - including Dark Mode variants for all of them. YouTube, Threads, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and WhatsApp templates are in development.
On paid plans, you can create as many mockups as you need - there are no limits on the number of mockups or edits. The free plan allows a small number of mockups to get you started; upgrade any time to unlock unlimited creation.
It depends on the template, but typically you can set: profile photo, username, display name, bio, follower/following/post counts, story rings, post images, captions, likes, comments, cover photos and more. Full emoji support is included. What your client sees in Mockupduck matches exactly what they'd see on the real platform.
You can upload profile photos, cover photos and post images in PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF format.
Mockups are exported as PNG image files.
Standard resolution is available on all plans. High-resolution 2x retina exports (which produce much sharper results for presentations and pitches) are available on the Professional and Agency plans. If you need an even higher resolution, contact us.
Yes - we're actively growing the template library. YouTube, Threads, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and WhatsApp are coming soon. New Instagram and TikTok variations (Reels, Carousel, etc.) are also in the works. Follow us on Twitter or Instagram to be notified when new templates drop.
Yes, please email us and let us know which template or feature you'd like to see. We take every request seriously and use them to prioritize what we build next.
Yes - you enter all content manually, so you can mock up any profile you like. This is useful for showing a client how their profile could look after a rebrand, for competitive analysis presentations, or for pitching a new brand identity.
Yes. The free plan lets you explore the mockup builder and create your first mockups with no credit card required. Free mockups include a watermark. Upgrade to a paid plan any time to remove it and unlock more features.
Both plans include all mockup templates, client review workspaces, magic sign-in links, inline commenting and a custom logo. Professional adds 30 workspaces (vs 3), high-resolution 2x retina downloads and bulk image upload. If you're managing more than a handful of clients or need pixel-perfect exports for presentations, Professional is the right choice.
No. Client review workspaces and magic sign-in review links are included in every paid plan at no additional cost. Your reviewers don't pay anything either.
Annual billing charges you upfront for 12 months at a discounted monthly rate - equivalent to 3 months free. Essentials annual is $14/mo (billed $168/yr) and Professional annual is $21/mo (billed $252/yr). You can switch between monthly and annual billing from your account settings.
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period - you keep your current plan until then.
Your mockups are never permanently deleted. If you cancel, your account drops to the free tier at the end of the billing period. Mockups beyond the free plan limits become read-only - you can still view them, you just can't edit or create new ones above the free limit until you re-subscribe.
Every paid plan includes at least one user seat. Add more team members for $15/mo per seat on any plan. Agency plans start with 6 included seats. All team members share the same workspaces and mockup library within the account.
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. If your team requires invoicing or a custom arrangement, contact us and we'll work something out.
Upgrade to any paid plan to remove watermarks instantly. Every mockup you created during your free trial is preserved and automatically becomes watermark-free - nothing is lost when you upgrade.
